Despite opening a week later than planned due to the wet weather, youngsters still enjoyed the festive fun on offer at Frosty's Christmas World in Ludlow.

One of the organisers Ruby Jarrett, of Craven Arms-based organisers Jolly Entertainment, said the event will continue to run until Christmas Eve.

She said: "This weekend has been a muddy one but we are doing our best to create alternative routes between tents and marquees, and as long as people don't mind a bit of mud and are willing to put on their wellies, they will have a wonderful time."

She added: "Those who came along really enjoyed themselves. I noticed a few young people enjoying the crafts and games for more than an hour, that was really nice to see."

Attractions include a reindeer, a nativity scene with a real camel and donkeys, Christmas-themed circus shows and stalls, with a juggler, a wire walker and a comedy elf instead of a clown, a Santa's grotto, fairytale princess, workshops and demonstrations, an undercover play area and stalls including hot food.

Mrs Jarrett said: "In the run-up to Christmas we are also offering a special promotion where adults and children go in for £6 each, rather than £12 for children, but they will still be able to do the same activities, just at a festive promotional price. Those who have already ordered their tickets will be refunded the difference on the door."

The attraction will be open between December 18 and 24, from 10am to 5pm.
