Gift wrap workshop in Telford

A charity will be hosting workshops to show people how to wrap Christmas presents well – and not so well.

The CVS has a wrapping station in Telford Shopping Centre each year and this year volunteers will be doing some "bad wrapping" that customers can pass off as their own. The stall is there from November 19 to 25.

Ella Sips, of the CVS, which represents volunteer groups, said: "The main aim is to have some fun and show people it really isn't too hard to wrap a present so it looks stunning. But we are also going to teach people how to do more of a workmanlike job because feedback from last year was that our volunteers wrapped presents so professionally that customers struggled to pass it off as their own work. Workshops are free. All we ask is for people to bring a donation of wrapping paper or ribbon."
