The Extreme Stunt Show appeared in the town for one night only on Wednesday and featured Extreme FMX, Europe's top freestyle motocross team who delighted the crowds with their daring aeronautical displays.

Leaping on the backs of their bikes and performing handstands, cliffhangers and high kicks the team left many in the crowd with their hearts in their mouths.

As well as the motocross team, there were BMX, mountain bikes and quads as well as monster trucks.

Extreme Events Europe has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years.

Bob Smith, 47 from Underdale, Shrewsbury, who attended the show with his children Poppy, 12, and Sam, 14, said: "It was a fantastic show.

Some of the stunts were out of this world."
