Shifnal opticians gets spooky to raise money for local food bank
Halloween decorations and creepy competitions are helping raise funds for Shifnal Food Bank
A Shifnal opticians has been transformed for Halloween as staff launch a series of spooky activities to raise money for the town’s food bank.

The team at the locally owned Specsavers store in The Square has created homemade decorations, including crocheted ghosts, and is inviting customers to join in the seasonal fun throughout October.
Visitors can make a donation to guess how many fake eyeballs are hidden in a jar, while children can decorate a pair of glasses with their own spooky designs for the chance to win a £20 Smyths Toys voucher.
All money raised will go to Shifnal Food Bank, which the store has chosen to support through fundraising over the coming year.

The team is also taking part in Shifnal’s window display and pumpkin carving competitions.
Jasdeep Dhillon, ophthalmic director at Specsavers Shifnal, said: “Halloween is a great opportunity to bring a bit of fun into the store while raising money for a fantastic local cause.
“Every donation will help us raise as much as we can for Shifnal Food Bank, and we’d love everyone to get involved and help us support this brilliant charity.”
