The Godolphin Edwards Fund, managed by the Community Foundation for Staffordshire & Shropshire, is open to organisations working with people in Acton Burnell, Frodesley, Pitchford and Ruckley & Langley.

The grants can be used to support a range of projects, including buying equipment, providing training, improving community facilities, funding capital works and running local events.

Leanne Macpherson, head of programmes at the Community Foundation for Staffordshire & Shropshire, said: "Although the Godolphin Edwards Fund focuses on just four rural parishes, its impact can be felt right at the heart of those communities.

"Small grants can make a real difference to local organisations, helping them deliver activities, improve facilities and provide opportunities for people who live in these areas.

"We're keen to hear from charities, community groups and other voluntary organisations that have an idea for a project that could benefit their local community."

The Community Foundation has managed the fund since 2023, awarding more than £10,000 in grants to projects that have benefited more than 1,500 people.

Previous recipients include Pitchford Village Hall, St Mark's Church Parochial Church Council in Frodesley and Shrewsbury-based Community Resource.

Nikki Winmill, projects officer at the Community Foundation for Staffordshire & Shropshire, said: "We'd be delighted to hear from organisations working in their local communities that could benefit from funding.

"Whether it's buying new equipment, providing training, improving a community facility or running an event, we want to hear about projects that will make a positive difference to local people."

Full eligibility criteria and application guidance are available on the Community Foundation for Staffordshire & Shropshire website. Organisations seeking further information or support with an application can contact Nikki Winmill on 01743 295900.
