Oswestry Cancer Buddies was founded by Linda Lade to provide a friendly and supportive space for people living with cancer, as well as their partners and carers.

Linda said: "Every day, every week, someone local will hear that dreaded word – cancer!

"You may be the patient who is newly diagnosed, just starting treatment, post-treatment or in remission – but that fear never goes away.

"But you don't have to face cancer alone. As the patient, as the partner or as the carer, all are welcome.

"Come along for understanding, friendship and support from people who truly get it. Please also pass this information on to anyone locally that you know who is touched by cancer."

Oswestry Cancer Buddies meets on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in the meeting room at Oswestry Library, Arthur Street.

The group meets from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, with Linda welcoming visitors with a cup of tea and a friendly face.
