Ellesmere garden party to raise funds for Shropshire charity
Raffle, stalls and homemade cakes at Ellesmere charity fundraiser
A fundraising garden party in aid of a Shropshire charity supporting socially isolated people will take place in Ellesmere later this month.
The event will be held at April Cottage, Church Hill, Ellesmere, on Sunday, June 28, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Visitors will be able to enjoy tea and homemade cakes, browse stalls, take part in a raffle and explore the cottage's gardens, which offer views across The Mere and feature a variety of wildlife and interesting plants.
Funds raised will support Feed the Birds, a Shropshire charity that provides nature-based befriending services for people who are socially isolated, elderly or caring for someone at home.
Entry costs £5 and includes tea and homemade cakes. Both cash and card payments will be accepted.
Organisers have advised that the garden is arranged over several levels with steps. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, although visitors are asked to be mindful of nesting birds in the garden.
