The upcoming self-titled Netflix documentary traces the boxer’s life from his childhood to the height of his career.

Boxer Tyson Fury is seen saying that he “didn’t want to live” in a trailer for his new documentary.

The upcoming self-titled Netflix documentary traces the athlete’s life from childhood to the height of his boxing career, along with the highs and lows of his journey in and out of the ring.

Featuring interviews with Fury, along with his wife Paris and his father John, the film explores his mental health struggles over the years as well as dealing with addiction, losing a child and managing complex family relationships.

In the trailer, he said: “Growing up in my family, there was no emotion shown.

“They’re all hard knots. Like 50 Cent said, ‘show no love, love will get you killed’.”

He explained that all he wanted to do was beat Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, who was the world heavyweight champion at the time and also held the record for the longest time spent with the title.

Fury said the 2015 fight became “an obsession” before he went on to win the fight, becoming the first British world heavyweight champion in six years.

Paris said: “Train, eat, sleep, repeat. Just hell-bent on what he was going to do. He was really different to everyone else.

“Straight after, Tyson said to me: ‘This is as good as it’s ever going to get’. I didn’t understand at that time what he meant.

“The Tyson that I knew was gone, and I was so scared.”

He said: “I achieved all my childhood dreams, but my whole point of existence had been taken away. I didn’t want to live.”

His father, John, later said the “effect” the win had on Tyson was “far deeper” than he ever could imagine.

The three appeared emotional during the trailer, wiping tears from their eyes.

Fury added: “The Gypsy King, no matter what you chuck at him, he will overcome it.

“It wasn’t really about boxing. It was about trying to get well again.”

Fury recently starred in the reality show At Home With The Furys, which has documented his exit from the ring as he tries to embrace retirement with his family.

He announced his return to the sport in 2026, nearly a year after he said he was stepping back.

The new documentary premieres on November 27 – two weeks before his fight with Anthony Joshua.

The pair will step into the boxing ring on December 11, with the fight streamed live on Netflix.
