Shakespeare classic will be performed twice in the same day at a Powys venue

Hamlet will be performed twice in the same day at a Powys venue.

The Wet Mariners are returning to the Willow Globe Theatre in Llanwrthwl near Rhayader.

They will perform Hamlet on Saturday, August 15 from 2pm until 4.30pm and from 7pm until 9.30pm

A spokesperson said: “ The Mariners are back again to be their riotous selves. This time with one of Shakespeare's lesser known plays or at least something resembling it. Expect them not to be stuffy or reverent, instead something that is closer to what Shakespeare would have wanted. Who knows what the madness will be this year. Do you want to be there? There is no question.”

Firm favourites at the Willow Globe The Wet Mariners first came to them as students at LAMDA, and have returned nearly every year since, spending a week on site to cut, cast, produce and perform one of Shakespeare's plays from scratch. They are always full of surprises!

There will be an interval.

Tickets are £16 for adults, £8 for under 16's and £40 for a family ticket for two adults and two under 16's.
