Hereford church director of music to perform organ concert in Kington

An organ recital will be held at Kington's church on Saturday, September 12.

The recital will be performed by Ewan Murray, Director of Music at Holy Trinity, Hereford.

Aged 18, Ewan Murray took up his first church position as Organist and Choirmaster of Christ Church, Great Ayton.

After beginning his studies at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, he took up the role of Senior Organ Scholar at St Alphege, Solihull.

In 2023/24, Ewan worked as organist at St James's, Shirley. He enjoyed setting up a church choir to sing at the major church festivals as well as delivering an organ outreach project for local schoolchildren.

Since September 2024, Ewan has been Director of Music at Holy Trinity, Hereford, where he enjoys working with a well-established and talented choir.

Ewan regularly performs as a soloist, allowing him to share a more diverse range of repertoire than can be heard at services

The recital will be held at St Mary's Church in Kington at 7pm.

Tickets will be available on the door at a cost of £12 including refreshments.
