A photography workshop and a talk about women's suffrage taking place at a Kington venue in August
A photography workshop, a quiz night and a talk about women's suffrage in Herefordshire will all be taking place at a Kington venue in August.
The month at the Oxford Arms in Kington will start off with the Sunflower Social at Places of Welcome event on Wednesday, August 5 from 10am until 12.30pm.
It is a hidden disabilities support group and network, meeting in The Oxford’s barn on the first Wednesday of the month during our regular Places Of Welcome opening hours. The event is free.
A two-day photography workshop for young people aged 14 to 18 with photographer Paul Ligas will also take place. It will be held on Wednesday, August 5 from 1pm until 5pm and Thursday, August 6 from 10am until 2pm, which includes lunch. It is free to attend but booking is essential, please contact the Oxford by email to book.
Dementia Matters at Places of Welcome will be held on Wednesday, August 12 from 10am until 12.30pm.
It is a support group and network for people affected by dementia, meeting in The Oxford’s barn on the second Wednesday of the month during our regular Places Of Welcome opening hours. Free. admission.
A talk on the History of Women’s Suffrage in Herefordshire by Clare Wichbold will take place on Tuesday, August 25 from 6pm until 9pm. The bar will be open throughout, and the talk begins around 7pm. Free admission.
Quiz night at The Oxford Arms takes place on Friday, August 28 from 6pm until 10pm. Teams of a maximum of four people are needed, £3 per person entry, and there is a cash prize for the winning team. The bar will be open throughout.
The next Creative Workshop at The Oxford Arms will take place on Sunday, August 30 from 2pm until 4pm.
This month’s activity is giant crepe flowers! Payment is by donation, of a suggested £5.
