New Bromley manager Karl Robinson got off to a losing start.

Goals from Sonny Aljofree and Tomn Bradshaw earned Rotherham an FA Cup first round 2-0 win at Bromley.

It was Rotherham’s first win in 10 matches and it got Karl Robinson’s tenure as Bromley manager off to a losing start.

It was the Ravens who started the tie on the front foot, Richard Taylor heading on to the roof of the net inside the opening minute of the game.

But it took until the 40th minute for another meaningful opportunity, Taylor’s goalbound volley cannoning off his own player and over the bar with an empty goal gaping.

The Millers took the lead, however, somewhat against the run of play. Sonny Aljofree headed home Josh Austerfield’s cross in first-half added time.

George Sebine should have added a second for the Millers 10 minutes after the restart but his low shot smashed against the post.

But Bradshaw promptly doubled the lead with the next attack. Jacob Mendy’s mistake was pounced on and Bradshaw was able to turn George and slot home.

Bromley belatedly offered a threat when Ethon Archer’s 20-yard effort smashed against the crossbar.

Meanwhile Bradshaw could have added some gloss to the scoreline for Rotherham but he headed against the post late on.
