The prolific striker netted his sixth goal in three National League matches.

Matt Rush scored his sixth goal in the opening three games of the National League season as Boreham Wood saw off Forest Green 3-0.

The visitors took the lead inside the first two minutes as Zak Brunt finished off a clinical counter-attack.

Lewis Richardson later converted a clever dink over Ethan Ross to score his first of the season, doubling his side’s lead 18 minutes in.

Prolific striker Rush, who scored a hat-trick in the draw with Tamworth and two goals against FC Halifax, continued his fine form with a powerful first-time finish after 55 minutes.

Things got even worse for the hosts as Tre Pemberton saw red three minutes from time to end a poor afternoon for Forest Green.
