Wolves season ticket sales set to break 22,000 barrier

The club is set for huge support despite a disappointing relegation from the Premier League.

Wolves will be backed by bumper home support in the Championship with season ticket renewals poised to break the 22,000 barrier.

A few hundred tickets will go on general sale on Monday after more than 1,500 fans on the waiting list took the chance to secure a seat.

The total number of tickets sold now stands at 21,906, with the club expected to cap sales at around 22,500.

It means Wolves will be backed by around the same number of season ticket holders as they were in the Premier League, while the number is significantly higher than the club’s most recent season in the Championship in 2017-18.

The club have reaped the benefit of cutting the price of every ticket by at least 25 per cent, with more than 20,000 supporters opting to renew despite watching one of the worst seasons in recent history, with their team finishing bottom of the top flight.

Wolves’ focus is on making an immediate return and the club’s belief is a packed Molineux will provide the best opportunity to do so.

Season tickets in the Stan Cullis and Sir Jack Hayward Stands have sold out, with around 600 remaining in the Steve Bull and Billy Wright Stands. They will go on general sale from 9am on Monday.

Wolves will learn their schedule for the Championship season when fixtures are released at noon next Thursday, June 25. The draw for the first round of the Carabao Cup will also be made on the same day.

Those players not involved at the World Cup are due to report for pre-season training in the first week of July, when they will meet new boss Cesar Peixoto for the first time.
