The Radnorshire side have slipped up in recent weeks having missed out on the title.

They were clear of the sides below them but have been reeled back in to set up an exciting finish to the campaign.

They picked up their first league win since late March on Saturday - as they ran in six goals on the road at Rhos Aelwyd.

They were given a helping hand in the first 25 minutes - as the home side had Dyfan Thomas sent off.

Knighton then raced into a two goal lead by half time as Shane Sutton set up Callum Stead for the opening before Luke Boundford doubled the lead from the spot.

It was all Knighton from then as Tom Wozencraft got in on the act just before the hour mark to increase their lead.

Soon after it was four as Stead picked up his second of the afternoon.

And within two minutes he had his hat-trick as Boundford set up the forward to complete his treble.

Wozencraft then picked up his second of the afternoon and Knighton’s sixth - before Osian Phillips handed Rhos a late consolation.

The result leaves them in third, level on points with Bow Street but with a game in hand over the Ceredigion outfit.

They passed up the chance to keep a three point buffer between them and Knighton - as they were beaten 3-1 at home to Llanrhaeadr.

Their skipper David France put them in front on the half hour mark - and they were two to the good when Billy Clarke fired home early in the second period.

Bow Street got themselves back in the game just after the hour mark through Josh Taylor.

But they failed to find a second and with five minutes left of normal time - Josh Bowen came off the bench to wrap up the win for Llanrhaeadr.

The mid table Waterfallmen could still have another say in the title face as they welcome Knighton on the final day of the season.

Builth Wells’ survival challenge is as good as complete as they picked up the shock of the weekend, beating champions Llanuwchllyn.

The Bulls had won two of their last three games heading into the weekend - to lift themselves out of the bottom two.

And they were in dreamland against the Denbighshire side - as Seth Bridgeman scored twice in the opening seven minutes.

Meilir Williams bagged a late consolation for the visitors - but Builth hung on for a huge victory.

They now sit three points ahead of Kerry who occupy the final spot in the drop zone.

Their miserable season continued as they were beaten 3-1 away at Corwen.

The first goal of the game did not arrive until the 77th minute when Lewis Wills put Corwen ahead.

Luke Mumford quickly replied but two goals for James Rainbird either side of a sending off for Kerry - handed the home side the points.

It mean Kerry are essentially down heading into the final weekend of the season. They would need Builth and Llandrindod Wells to both lose, they would need to win and at the same time they would need to overturn a 13 goal swing.

Elsewhere, Llandrindod Wells’ were were beaten 3-0 away at Cefn Albion.
