Having been narrowly beaten in the first game of the campaign - the Garth Road side have fired back to cement a place at the top of the table.

Last week is a routine victory but they were made to work for it against Stone - as they came out on top by three wickets.

Builth won the toss and chose to put the visitors in to bat - and very soon it became apparent they had made the wrong call.

Openers Steve Ralph and Alexander Roden put on 124 for the first wicket as Builth toiled in the field - before Lyndon Jones bowled Rodon for 56.

The got back into the contest with two further wickets leaving the visitors on 143-3, with Ralph going for 55.

But despite a middle order wobble, the visitors composed themselves as Max Sly and Steve Tredwell put over 50 more onto the total for the sixth wicket - before they closed on 251/7.

It was chaseable but difficult for Builth - if they wanted to continue their impressive winning streak, and they suffered a couple of early set backs.

Opener Tim Richards went for a duck with Nathan Howell out for just eight, leaving them 26-2.

Neil Harris and Lyndon Jones steadied the ship helping them on to 87-3 before Harris went for 47.

It was a partnership between Jones and Dai Davies that moved them from 110-4 to 172-5, before a 60 run final wicket partenrship between Martin Hurst, 28, and Ben Cripps, 29, saw them over the line.
