Market Drayton bring in Steve McCormick as No.2
Market Drayton Town have confirmed the appointment of their former forward Steve McCormick as assistant manager.
McCormick, 47, played for a number of professional clubs including Queens Park, Stirling Albion, Dundee, Greenock Morton, Airdrie, East Fife, Clydebank and Dumbarton.
He also had a short spell south of the border with Leyton Orient in the late 1990s and then Newtown, Connah's Quay Nomads and Cwmbran Town in the Welsh Premier League before retiring in 2004.
He was a key member of the Stirling Albion side that cruised to the Scottish League Second Division title in 1995/6 when he scored 25 goals, thus becoming a cult figure with the Stirling fans.
McCormick will add vital experience to manager Martyn Davies' coaching team for the Evo-Stik First Division South season, which has started with a victory and a defeat from the first two games.
