Danny Rose to stay with Tigers into seventh year

Telford Tigers have signed defender Danny Rose on a new contract.

Rose has been a fan favourite since first joining in the 2012/13 season and will now go into his seventh season.

Rose was delighted to commit his future to Tigers, saying: “It was an easy decision for me to make and was the right decision, I know that Tom Watkins (head coach) will have recruited guys that want to win and will buy into that every day and hopefully we will bring the silverware back with us.

“I can’t wait to get back to it, going to be an exciting season.”

Watkins added: “For me, Danny is one of those guys you rely on heavily as coach, he can play a variety of roles for the team and is now vastly experienced in a Tigers shirt and has been part of all the Tigers’ winning teams in recent seasons, playing a pivotal role.”
