'Please come home': Wolves fans react to sensational Raul Jimenez comments after Fulham draw
The Wolves striker opened the door to a sensational return to the club following the clash with Fulham.
Raul Jimenez sent social media and Wolves fans into overdrive on Sunday evening - when he left the door open for a potential return to Molineux.
The Wolves cult hero remains club’s record Premier League goalscorer, netting 40 league goals during his five-year spell at Molineux.
He left Wolves in 2023 with 57 goals in all competitions to his name and has since scored 28 goals in almost 100 appearances for Fulham.
In an exclusive interview with the Express & Star on Sunday after Wolves’ final home game of the season - Jimenez revealed there is a ‘possibility’ he could come back next season.
And the Express & Star understands there have been early conversations between Wolves and Jimenez over a potential return to the club.
The striker said: “Why not? There is always a possibility. Let’s see.
“It would be nice, more after today, let’s see.”
Asked if a move could happen this summer, he added: “I don’t know, maybe. But I don’t know.”

The development sent shockwaves around the Wolves fans and here is a snapshot of how some of the supporters reacted.
One said: “This would be the best thing ever - we love him and he loves us,” while another added: “After this season I am ON MY KNEEES. Please come home RJ9. Finish the story.”
Another believes it would be ‘savvy’ business, adding: “He’s obviously past his best but in the champ will have a lot to offer. It’s also a savvy financial move for his earning power in Mexico. Why not. Experience!”
One Wolves fan is against former players returning - but believes Jimenez could be just what the club needs after a dreadful campaign.
They said: “I'm usually against players returning, but the whole club needs a lift and Raul would do that.
“He's had a good season in the Premier League for a side who up until today had a chance of Europe. He'd be more than good enough for the Championship.”
Some Wolves fans have said they are against any such move due to Jimenez being 35. But one fan believes that isn’t an issue, adding: “Why people moaning about he’s age, he’d be the best striker in the league, of course he ain’t going to play every game that’s why you need a bench, he scores 15 goals easily in that league we know exactly what we getting and it’s free transfer makes sense all round.”
There are others who were not wholly pleased by the news, with one saying: “I love him. But we don’t need a 35 year old striker. We need younger, championship proven players who can play 44 games. We need a 20+ goal number 9, not a guy with a banger of a song.”
Another also believes it could be a backwards step: “Why look backwards. He did a job but Wolves need to move on with players who are around 27/28 with experience of the Championship and should be in prime and offer quality also.”
