Former Wolves captain leaves Wrexham ahead of transfer deadline
Conor Coady’s Wrexham spell has come to an end.
Former Wolves captain Conor Coady is a free agent after leaving Wrexham following the mutual termination of his contract.
The 33-year-old’s spell at the Hollywood-owned club has not gone to plan, with limited opportunities to play.
Coady joined Wrexham from Leicester City last summer for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £2 million.

However, the former England and Wolves defender made just six appearances in all competitions last season, spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he helped the club retain their Championship status.
Coady returned to Wrexham with 12 months remaining on his contract, but had not been included in any of their matchday squads this season.
With Tuesday’s 11pm transfer deadline approaching, Coady has now departed the Racecourse Ground after Wrexham agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
His exit comes as Wrexham close in on a deal to sign Burnley centre-back Joe Worrall.
A statement by the Red Dragons read: “All at Wrexham AFC would like to thank Conor for his efforts while with the club and wish him well for the future.”
