West Brom team news at Preston: Baggies return from off-field drama with attacking change

Albion boss James Morrison has confirmed his starting line-up for the clash in Lancashire.

Albion boss James Morrison has made one change to his side for the away clash at Preston.

The Baggies return to action following off-field drama this week with the clash against the mid-table Lilywhites.

Head coach Morrison has changed his frontline for the contest and opted to bring in Josh Maja to replace Daryl Dike, who drops to the bench.

It is Albion’s sole change for the crunch clash in Lancashire.

It kickstarts a run of four final games this season where Albion know they must pocket some victories to give themselves the chance of survival - before any potential financial charge sanctions are taken into account.

The visitors are boosted by more squad options in Preston.

The trio of Karlan Grant, Chris Mepham and Tammer Bany have returned to the bench.

Grant and Mepham have been sidelined for the best part of three months with serious hamstring injuries.

Bany had surgery on a torn thigh at the turn of the year.

The three come in on the bench with Harry Whitwell, who has a minor knock, and loan duo Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba and Hindolo Mustapha dropping out.

Albion’s line-up is expected to remain 4-4-2, the system of much of Morrison’s success, with midfielder Jayson Molumby again used out towards the right side.

Hosts Preston, who are unbeaten in four games, have named an unbeaten line-up for the clash.

Albion (4-4-2): O'Leary; Imray, Phillips, Campbell, Styles; Molumby, Mowatt (c), Diakite, Price; Heggebo, Maja.

Subs: Griffiths, Gilchrist, Taylor, Mepham, Bostock, Bany, Grant, Dike, Sule.
