“Why can’t we win?” - Gavin Cowan embraces Shrewsbury Town’s Bromley challenge
Gavin Cowan is fired up for his Salop side to try and spoil Bromley’s title charge
Gavin Cowan insists there is no reason Shrewsbury Town cannot secure a surprise victory at title-chasing Bromley.
Salop travel to the League Two leaders tonight aiming for back-to-back wins and to officially secure their safety in League Two.
Despite being winless in their last two matches, Bromley are unbeaten in all 20 of their home league games this season, winning 12 of them.
The last side to enjoy a longer run from the start of a League Two campaign were Salop themselves in 2011/12, when they went unbeaten in all 23 home games.
Asked how his side will approach the trip, Cowan said: “Freedom of an expectation. They're going to be expected to go and win that game.
“For us, it's to go out there and just be the best version of yourself. What have you got to lose?
“Sometimes you get to a crossroads and you've got to throw that saying out there. What have we got to lose?

“So we go there with just being the best version of ourselves and go there and make sure that we give the best account of ourselves. Why can't we go there and win?”
Sam Stubbs ended Salop’s losing streak and goal drought last Friday, netting a second-half header to secure a crucial victory over strugglers Tranmere.
Town head into their final five matches of the season with a comfortable 11-point gap above the relegation zone, but are eager to get over the line as soon as possible.
While they cannot mathematically secure their safety at Bromley tonight, a victory would move them significantly closer to that objective.

Town have won three of their last four league games played on a Tuesday, though they were beaten at Bristol Rovers in their most recent midweek outing.
Tonight’s game was moved from its original Easter Monday slot to an 8pm kick-off after being selected for television coverage.
“There's no expectation on us and all the expectation will be on them,” Cowan added.
“So it's for us to go into the lion’s den and see what we're made about.
“This is where we're talking about mentality. I like to see myself as a winner, but ultimately in these underdog moments, I thrive as well, because what have you got to lose?
“The expectation is that they'll win. So we'll go there with a real freedom of working hard, showing desire, but also being brave enough to get on the ball and play like we did for elements of the game today.”
