'Nothing too serious' - Gavin Cowan hopeful over George Lloyd knock
What Gavin Cowan said about George Lloyd’s injury after FC Isle of Man win.
Gavin Cowan said George Lloyd’s pre-season knock is not believed to be “anything too serious”.
Lloyd was forced off during the first half of Town’s victory over FC Isle of Man on Sunday after picking up a knock.

The striker was assessed after the game, with Salop hopeful he will not face a spell on the sidelines.
Lloyd’s injury comes after defender Luca Hoole suffered an ankle problem during Town’s opening pre-season fixture at Stafford Rangers.
Shrewsbury boss Cowan said: “We’re just assessing Lloydy. (It’s) a bit more of a precaution than anything on initial look. And Luca as well.
“But again, I don’t think they’re anything too serious. We’re just waiting for them to settle down a little bit.”
With victory over FC Isle of Man, Town finished third in the island’s summer football festival. The tournament provided valuable minutes for the players, and Cowan praised his squad’s efforts as they continue their preparations for the new season.
“They’re all shattered,” he added. “They’ve just come off the back of a two week cycle of strength and conditioning.
“They've probably worked harder than any group of players I've ever seen. They’ll be really thankful that they've come to the end of that cycle of pre-season.
“They were very tired the other day, very tired today, you can see that fatigue. We want them to be fatigued, but their recovery starts now.
“They'll be pleased that not too many of the sessions will be like that in the last two weeks.”
