Micky Mellon hails 'fantastic' Town win
Manager Micky Mellon hailed a "fantastic performance" by his Shrewsbury Town players after they beat Sheffield United 4-2 away tonight.
Town stunned Bramall Lane with goals from Sullay Kaikai, Ian Black and Scott Vernon in the first half and James Collins immediately after the break.

Mellon said: "It was a fantastic performance to perform in the way we did. I just knew we had a bit of cutting edge and something more going forward and I knew we'd get back in it.
"We were determined to have a go and we wanted to build on the stuff we did in previous games where we defended well but weren't as good on the ball when we won it back.
"We spoke about that and every credit to the boys – we defended superbly to a man and when we did get the ball back, we passed it, we knocked it around and we scored some great goals.
"You would have to say to score four goals at Sheffield United I'd be off the mark if I never said it was a fantastic performance and I'm delighted for everyone at the club.
"But it still has to carry on – we've shown we've now got a base to work forward from. We saw the performances that we can be capable of and we've got to build on it now."
Town actually trailed to Conor Sammon's 17th-minute opener, before opening the floodgates themselves in truly spectacular style.
Mellon said: "We had the ball and I was surprised it went their way. When you see the ball nestling in your bottom corner, you think it's just the type of luck we're having.
"But then the boys showed the character that they do and battled back and I just knew they could do it."
Zak Whitbread (hamstring) and Ian Black were casualties during the game and will be assessed before Saturday's visit of Gillingham.
