Having won their first four league matches of the campaign, Shifnal have now lost three in a row.

They followed home defeats to Clitheroe and Chasetown with a 3-0 loss on the road at high-flying Wythenshawe on Saturday.

They will look to reverse that recent trend when they welcome Nantwich Town to the Acoustafoam Stadium on Wednesday night (7.45pm).

Whitchurch Alport picked up a crucial victory on the road at Uttoxeter Town in the Midland League Premier Division to lift themselves above their hosts up to 15th ahead of Monday night’s home game against Stockport Georgians at Yockings Park.

Against Uttoxeter, Alport came from a goal down to win 3-1 thanks to Josh Madeley’s equaliser and Ollie Holden’s double.
