Ludlow Town break new ground in the FA Vase
FA Vase second round proper: Gresley Rovers v Ludlow Town. Saturday, October 31, 3pm kick-off.
A special day is upon Ludlow Town this weekend as they travel to Gresley Rovers in the second round of the FA Vase, writes Jacob Jones.

Ludlow have never advanced this far in the competition, only getting as far as the first round prior to this season.
Manager Chris Waldron is very proud of the team’s success in the cup campaign so far.
“It’s a great achievement for the for the club and the players,” he said.
Ludlow currently play in step six, making them underdogs in their tie away at step five Gresley Rovers on Saturday (3pm).
However, Waldon is eagerly anticipating the opportunity for his team to challenge themselves.
“It's going to be a tough game,” said Waldron. “We know that Gresley's a quite a big club, they have a big following, but it's going to be a great experience for the lads.”
Waldron’s team were scheduled to play Swindon Supermarine’s reserve side in an away fixture last weekend, but the game was called off due to extreme weather conditions.
The Ludlow boss claims the postponement may have helped his side.
He said: “To be honest, it was quite good for us because we've got a few niggly injuries with some key players at the minute.”
