Long fight back for AFC Ludlow's Ryan Lockley
AFC Ludlow footballer Ryan Lockley is expected to be out of action for up to seven months after suffering a double fracture and dislocation of his ankle.
Lockley, who also plays cricket for Birmingham & District Premier League side Whitchurch, was injured in the final minutes of his side's Shropshire Challenge Cup match at home to Newport Town on Saturday.
Lockley underwent surgery on Sunday night and is now recovering at home.
AFC Ludlow manager Dave Cooper said Lockley is aiming to recover in time for next year's cricket season.
