Shrewsbury Town reject two bids for striker in the January window
Shrewsbury Town rejected two six-figure bids for striker George Lloyd in the January transfer window, the Shropshire Star can reveal.

Salop were approached twice by an unnamed top six League One club attempting to lure the former Cheltenham man away from the Croud Meadow.
The 24-year-old scored his second goal under Gareth Ainsworth, and his fifth for the season, at the weekend in Town's dramatic comeback win over Mansfield.
It is understood Lloyd is a big part of Ainsworth's plans going forward after forming a successful partnership with fellow striker, and Salop on-field skipper John Marquis in recent weeks.

Lloyd became the first signing of Town's summer re-build back in June last year, and when he was announced they said they fought off competition to land the athletic striker - he signed a two-year deal in Shropshire.

Town have added cover and competition for the attacking duo by bringing in Vadaine Oliver on loan until the end of the season from League Two side Bradford on deadline day.
Shrewsbury went into the January window with Tom Bloxham in their ranks, but an offer from Blackpool for the 21-year-old's services proved too lucrative to turn down.
The academy product has since registered one goal and two assists since moving to the seaside.
Director of football Micky Moore and head coach Ainsworth were on the hunt for another option in forward areas on deadline day but despite searching right up to window closing they were unable to make further additions.
Shrewsbury are next in League One action this weekend when they make the trip to south Yorkshire to take on rivals Rotherham.
Town are still waiting for their first win on the road since Ainsworth was appointed back in November last year - they have not been able to match their impressive form at the Croud Meadow away from Shropshire.
