You know what it’s like, you look through some old family pictures and you come across some where you don’t recognise the people, the location is unfamiliar, and the occasion is a mystery.
It’s the same for us. Sometimes the original information with the photos is lost, or we have been sent them in the hope that someone, somewhere, can solve the riddle or come up with some information.
Our readers are always the best detectives, so examine the evidence in these images and see if you can spot any clues that might help put the pieces of the puzzle together. Let us know what you discover in the comments.
And no, this isn’t some sort of test where we give the answers at the end. We really don’t know.

17. Wedding couple
This wedding picture was discovered years ago by Ray Edge of Shrewsbury after he bought a print of Shrewsbury Castle for around £1 at a car boot sale at Monkmoor. The wedding picture was being used as backing. The only clue was the name of the photographers, Carl and Pat Jameson, of Claremont Hill, Shrewsbury. | Jamesons Claremont Hill

18. Taken for a ride
David Hughes was trying to find out more about this. The lady second from the left in the foreground, that is, sitting immediately behind the lady with the black hat at the front, is David's grandmother and he believed the man behind smoking a cigarette is his grandfather. "My grandfather was a prison officer at Shrewsbury Prison and they all lived at 109 St Michael Street, Shrewsbury," he told us. "I'm just hoping some historian may recognise the type of transport and deduce where it operated." | David Hughes

19. Court in the act
An unknown Shrewsbury drama production, perhaps in the 1930s. The sign on the lintel is "Rosemary Court," but then it's only a prop. | David Trumper

20. Best foot forward
It's a Wellington Journal & Shrewsbury News picture, so we can be reasonably confident that this is a Shropshire dancing troupe of some sort. | Wellington Journal
