The crash led to tailbacks and long waits for county motorists
Two people were taken to hospital following an early morning crash on a busy county road on Monday (September 21).
A man and a girl were rushed to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford after a two-vehicle crash on the A5 at Burcot.
The injuries the two people sustained are “not believed to be serious,” West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service told the Shropshire Star: “We were called to reports of a two-vehicle RTC (road traffic collision) on the A5, Burcot, Telford at 7.38am today (September 21).”
They went on to say: “Two ambulances attended. The occupants of a car, a man and a girl, were assessed on scene.
“Both were conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.”
The two-vehicle crash caused long delays for county motorists travelling on the A5 during Monday morning rush hour between the M54 Wellington junction and the A49 Preston roundabout near Shrewsbury.
The crash stopped traffic and the road was closed for a time whilst emergency services attended to patients and secured the scene of the incident.
Later in the morning, National Highways West Midlands announced that both lanes of the A5 near the Burcot crash scene were reopened.

Alongside the ambulance service, West Mercia Police and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the crash.
The crash led to tailbacks and long waits for county motorists driving to work along the usually busy route.
The B5061 and surrounding roads between Shrewsbury and Wellington were also very busy in the time after the crash, one rush hour motorist told the Shropshire Star.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Officers are on scene at a two-vehicle collision on the A5, westbound, between Wellington and Shrewsbury.
“Paramedics and the Fire Service are also on scene. No arrests to report.”
