Three new members co-opted onto Llandrindod Wells Town Council in recent weeks

Three new members have been co-opted onto Llandrindod Wells Town Council in recent weeks.

Over the summer Hayley Seyffert expressed an interest in joining the council and filled in an application form which was considered by members.

Although she was unable to attend the meeting members said they thought her application was 'strong' and they co-opted her onto the council to serve south ward 2.

Councillor Seyffert attended her first meeting in October.

Also over the summer Councillor Lynn Frost was co-opted onto the council for south one ward and at the October meeting, members considered an application from Pamella Llewellyn to be co-opted.

Pamella said she had lived in the town for 23 or 24 years and worked at Llandrindod Wells Hospital until a few years ago when she retired. She said she thinks she could do a lot more in the community, but she would need some support as she has never done anything like it before.

She said she is a good listener and can talk to people.

Members agreed to co-opt Pamella for the north ward.

The three new additions now mean the council has four vacancies across several wards.
