Telford MP Shaun Davies, went to school at Ladygrove Primary School in Dawley, where he popped in to see the school’s staff team carefully arrange hundreds of cereal boxes like dominos, before gathering the whole school and members of the community to watch the boxes fall.

A total of 529 full cereal boxes were collected for the challenge, thanks to generous donations from pupils’ families and the local community. Sainsbury’s also supported the initiative by donating 50 boxes.

Following the challenge, all the cereal boxes were donated to Telford Crisis Support, helping the organisation provide over 2,000 breakfasts to families across Telford.
Returning to Ladygrove Primary School was also a special opportunity for the MP to revisit the school and see the difference the school community continues to make in Telford.

Shaun Davies said: “Watching more than 500 cereal boxes topple like dominoes was brilliant! What makes it even better is that every single box will go to Telford Crisis Support to help families across our town.
“A huge thank you to everyone who donated and got involved. It’s a great example of people across Telford coming together to help others. And to see it all happen at my old primary school made it that little bit more special!”
Jo Weichlbauer, Headteacher at Ladygrove Primary School and Nursery, added: “We are incredibly proud of our children, families, and staff for supporting this challenge so enthusiastically. Collecting 529 boxes was a fantastic achievement and it was wonderful to see our whole school community come together, have fun, and make a real difference to families across Telford. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us create such a memorable event.”
