Telford manufacturer launches jobs drive with recruitment event
VA Technology wants to meet people looking for a new career in its systems assembly team
A manufacturer is hosting a recruitment event as it looks to expand its workforce.
VA Technology is inviting those interested in careers as mechanical fitters and electrical fitters and who wish to join its expanding systems assembly team in Telford.
The company was founded in 1988 and designs, makes and installs shellroom systems.
It works with clients in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical implants and art foundries and is forecasting a headcount of 260 employees globally across engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, operations and sales and support.
The company said the new roles were ideal for skilled fitters and assembly technicians or candidates with a solid trade background, including mechanics, carpentry, maintenance disciplines or electrically qualified trades.

The jobs will be based at VA Technology's site on Total Park, Hortonwood 45, which is a brand new 74,462 sq ft facility dedicated to systems assembly.
The free recruitment event will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Thursday November 12 at the same location.
The open day will offer candidates the chance to see inside the company's assembly site, explore the working environment, see advanced machinery and robotics up close and meet with manufacturing teams to discuss available roles.
Successful applicants will work on assembling automated shellroom systems on site and completing installations across the world. VA Technology currently has 450 automated systems installed across the globe.
The company said it provided competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits packages and clear pathways for ongoing career progression and upskilling.
Operations director Rebecca Cooper: "Our team is the driving force behind our manufacturing excellence.
"With a positive outlook on the sales forecast, it's an exciting time for us to welcome skilled mechanical fitters and electrical fitters to the team.
"We've seen sustained growth over the last few years, which we take forward into 2027, leading to this increase in workforce to help support our system builds."
