Homes plan for vacant land in Ludlow

The land is currently overgrown with weeds
Plans have been submitted to build two new houses in Ludlow.
The proposal is for the three-bedroom detached homes to be placed on vacant land close to Raglan Place and New Road.
Documents say that it has been cleared before and further clearance is planned.
Access is proposed from an existing private approach off New Road.
Shropshire Council previously granted full planning permission for the conversion of adjoining agricultural buildings into four dwellings.
This, said Stephen Dunne, of Dawley Architectural Ltd, demonstrates that the council accepted the principle of residential development in the location, and assessed highway access, amenity, design, ecology, trees, drainage, and contaminated land in its determination.
"The previous officer report records foul drainage to a public sewer towards New Road, a SuDS (sustainable drainage systems) consultation-zonedesignation, and potentially contaminated former industrial land," said Mr Dunne.
"It also records concerns over the narrow private access, met by the particular scheme and a construction-management condition. Those determinations are relevant local evidence, not site-specific technical approvals for the present proposal."
Mr Dunne added that each house will have a kitchen, WC, hall and living/dining space. And each property will have two off-street parking spaces and a private rear garden.
"Bin storage and an appropriate refuse presentation location will be accommodated within the layout, subject to the collection arrangements accepted by the council," said Mr Dunne,
"If required, a Construction Method Statement could be secured bycondition to cover delivery access, operatives’ parking, materials storage, wheel cleaning, protection of neighbouring properties, noise and dust control."
