Shropshire cricket club's ladies day raises funds for charity
The proceeds have been split between three groups
More than £1,500 was raised for good causes at a county cricket club’s annual ladies day.
Wellington Cricket Club’s ladies day, held at Orleton Park, took place on August 15.

A total of 94 ladies attended to enjoy an afternoon of cricket, community, and fantastic fundraising.
The event raised £1,671 to be split across three vital causes.
This year’s fundraising efforts included £800 donated to Severn Hospice to support critical end-of-life care and £350 raised for Crohn's & Colitis UK.
A further £521 was raised directly for the Wellington Cricket Club Junior Section.
The grassroots funds will be put to immediate and practical use, financing the formal coaching qualifications for three new prospective coaches.
Wellington Cricket Club thanked the event's two main sponsors, The Carpet Bank and A1 Glass and Glazing, whose backing made the afternoon possible.
The club also thanked numerous local businesses and companies which donated prizes for the charity raffle.
The organising committee of Jane, Amie, Dymphna, Rachel, and Natalie were also praised for their tireless work, meticulous planning, and commitment to making the day such a resounding success.
