Scenic autumnal Shropshire walk where you can spot deer and watch the leaves turn golden
A gorgeous Shropshire walk that’s perfect to try out as autumn approaches
September has arrived and it's ‘back to school’ season.
For families, this time of year can be rather hectic, as new routines are forged.
One way to calm down is to appreciate the great outdoors, and enjoy a scenic walk at this National Trust spot.
Shropshire has lots of scenic walks in abundance, but one firm favourite is the one at Attingham Park.
For those who may not be too familiar, Attingham Park offers a dog-friendly 2km walking trail that treats nature lovers to stunning views of the open Shropshire landscape.
The walk was once described by CountryLiving as “unmissable”.
It’s a wonderful chance to watch green leaves turn into crispy golden leaves as autumn approaches.

This walking route at Attingham Park is fantastic for a wide range of walking abilities, as it should only take between one and two hours to complete - though it does pose some minor challenges as it has some uneven areas, along with slight inclines.
Walkers are able to enjoy the Deer Park while strolling through the wide Shropshire countryside towards the river.
When you reach the enchanting Deer Park you will be able to see 130 Attingham fallow deer.
The original deer herd's descendants, the Attingham fallow deer roam around the area.
It is a key standout feature of the autumnal walk where you can see these gorgeous creatures under golden trees.
