Round-the-world walker Karl Bushby to begin UK theatre tour in Shrewsbury
He’ll be speaking in Shrewsbury next week
Round-the-world-walker Karl Bushby is getting ready to embark on a tour of UK theatres - and it begins in Shrewsbury next week.
Karl Bushby set out 28 years ago from Punta Arenas, Chile, with an audacious ambition to walk all the way home to Yorkshire.
The journey saw him cross some of the world’s most hostile landscapes, including the remote and roadless Darién Gap and the frozen Bering Strait between Russia and Alaska.

Bushby finally reached his home town Hull on Monday (November 2).
Next week, the 57-year-old is embarking on a milder adventure: a tour of UK theatres.
‘The man who walked the world’ will start his tour with an appearance at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury on Thursday, November 12.
With just one week to go, tickets have almost sold out.
Entertainment agency NLP Ltd said the show would be a rare opportunity for audiences to meet “a remarkable British adventurer” who undertook a “world-spanning feat of endurance”.
After Shrewsbury, the show will visit Hull City Hall, followed by appearances in Nottingham, York, Bury St Edmunds and Buxton.
