Many homes are still without power
Dozens of buildings remain without power almost 24 hours after a power cut in a village near Shrewsbury.
National Grid said 239 properties in Pontesbury were without power on Wednesday night (July 29) after a fault on the power lines in the local area.
The incident was first reported at 8.39pm, and most of the homes had seen power restored by midnight.
At around 4am the following morning, 44 properties remained off supply - and remained so on Thursday evening.
The latest update at 7.30pm from National Grid said that engineers were “working hard” to get power back on.
Their website suggested the issue was centred around the Pontesbury Hill area.
