Policing, public toilets and a possible new office, Kington's Mayor has had a busy month
Kington councillors feel policing in the town is not visible enough and they need to see more police around.
Kington Mayor Councillor Martin Woolford said this was his response to the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner's survey, which he completed on behalf of the town council recently.
He told the October town council meeting that seeing more police officers around would make a huge difference.
Giving his monthly report, Councillor Woolford said he and his wife Vicky had attended the Shrieval Service at Hereford Cathedral recently.
“I attended, online, the Parish Summit where an update on the provision of Herefordshire Council services was given.
“I chaired a meeting of the working party on the acquisition of the public toilets and have sent further questions to Herefordshire Council as a result.”
Councillor Woolford said he had also had discussions with the Chamber of Trade over the cancelling of the winter food festival, has had several conversations with Councillor Richard Banks over the Christmas lights and he has tried to get more information about the office premises in Lower Cross but so far without response.”
