Market Drayton Town Council posted pictures online this week of vandalism to the Towers Lawn public toilets.

Pictures showed graffiti that had been sprayed across toilet doors and in cubicles.

The incident reportedly occurred last weekend between December 7 and 8.

The vandalism comes after plans for the toilets, that have repeatedly been targeted by vandals, were decided and submitted to Shropshire Council last month.

Chair of the Services and Facilities committee at Market Drayton Town Council, Tim Manton said: "We're obviously very frustrated with the vandalism in the toilet.

"It has been an ongoing problem that is not going away and was part of the catalyst for us deciding to move forward with our plans for a full refurbishment of the facility.
