The trust said no patients had appointments cancelled due to the relocation of clinics
A community hospital has reopened for patient admissions after repairs to its heating system were completed.
Bishop’s Castle Community Hospital closed to patients last month.
Shropshire Community Health Trust has issued an update on the facility after the heating was fixed.
It said no appointments had been cancelled during the closure and thanked the public for their understanding.
A statement said: “Bishop’s Castle Community Hospital has reopened to patient admissions following the successful repair of its heating system.
“Planned care clinics will also begin returning to the hospital from the end of this week, with services resuming on site.
“During the temporary closure, patients continued to receive care through alternative community hospitals and care pathways.
“No patients had their appointments cancelled as a result of the temporary relocation of clinics, with appointments rearranged at alternative venues.
“We would like to thank all our patients and their families for their patience, understanding and flexibility while the hospital was temporarily closed.
“Thank you to our Bishop’s Castle Community Hospital teams and colleagues across the group for their hard work in supporting patients, redirecting services and completing the work needed to repair the heating system and prepare the hospital for reopening.”
