NFU Cymru Montgomeryshire on-farm county meeting to hear how local family expanded dairy business
NFU Cymru members in Montgomeryshire are invited to an on-farm county meeting in Meifod.
At the meeting, which will take place on Friday, November 6 at 12pm at Newbridge Farm Dairy, Meifod, SY22 6HS by kind permission of the Williams family, members will hear how the family have successfully expanded and diversified their third-generation dairy business to support the next generation.
The family has grown the herd, while developing a range of successful diversification enterprises including their direct-to-consumer approach with their Llaeth y Bont milk vending business, pick-your-own pumpkin enterprise and the development of its ice cream and cheese production.
NFU Cymru Montgomeryshire County Chairman Marc Jones said: “I’d like to thank the Williams family to welcoming us to their farm for our next county meeting. It will give members a chance to gain valuable insights into business growth, succession planning, diversification and adding value to home-produced milk. It is also a great chance to connect with fellow members and spend a few hours away from the farm. A warm welcome is extended to all members, and I hope to see you there.”
Please contact the NFU Cymru office on 01982 554200 or visit the NFU Cymru website to register your attendance.
