The event in the grounds of the stately home on the Shropshire and Staffordshire border attracted a bumper turnout yesterday, with attendances today expected to tip the total over the 10,000-mark for the bank holiday weekend.

Exhibitors from Shropshire, Staffordshire and further afield brought hundreds of vehicles of all types dating back as far as the 1920s.

The display for the show, now in its 24th year, included vintage, classic and sports cars as well as 50 American cars. More than 1,500 vehicles were on show altogether.

Trade areas offered all kinds of "automobilia" and collectibles while in the arena there were bird of prey displays and performances from the Piston Rings junior motorcycle display team and the MPC Sidecar display team.

Gates opened again this morning with a wide variety of food stalls offering refreshments.
