The bungalows - which sit in a row and are in varying condition - have a guide price of £300,000.

Six spacious bungalows in a "peaceful" leafy green hamlet home to 500 people are for sale - for the same price as a one-bedroom flat in London.

The properties located at Bryn Awelon in the tiny village of Cyffylliog, near Ruthin, Denbighshire, are surrounded by the beautiful North Wales countryside.

They all come equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom as well as a front and back garden, according to BTG Eddisons Property Auctions.

This is in comparison to hefty house prices in London, with the same amount of money only being able to stretch as far as a one-bed apartment in the city's more affordable areas.

Spots in locations such as Barking and Dagenham, Hounslow, or Enfield have starting prices of around £220,000 to £300,000, according to Zoopla.

But prime real estate locations, including Knightsbridge, Mayfair, or Marylebone, a routinly listed for over £1 million, according to Foxtons.

The listing states they are being sold on behalf of Denbighshire County Council.

Cyffylliog is a village of a couple of hundred inhabitants and is set in the wooded Clywedog Valley four miles from the thriving market town of Ruthin.

The surrounding countryside - which is protected - is known for its walking routes and views towards the Clwydian hills.

The vast Clocaenog Forest, a protected woodland habitat for red squirrels and other wildlife is also nearby, attracting walkers and other visitors to the area.

Edward Feather, director and auctioneer at BTG Eddisons Property Auctions, said: “It’s a lovely setting, and someone buying the lot is getting a very different proposition from a typical residential auction purchase.

“There’s work to do on the bungalows, but that gives the new owner the chance to put their own stamp on them.

“What makes this lot unusual is the combination of its scale and setting.

"You’re getting six homes, but you’re also buying into a very peaceful corner of North Wales.

“The location is just as eye catching though because these aren’t six properties squeezed together on a suburban street, they are situated in a peaceful haven of a Welsh village, with stunning countryside immediately behind them.

"Six houses for £300,000 is not something you see every day."

They are set to be sold at auction later this month. For more visit here.
