Ferrari reveals its most powerful series model yet with 812 Superfast

F12 replacement produces 789bhp thanks to a 6.5-litre engine
Designed to replace the current F12, the 812 Superfast uses a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine that is 234cc larger than that of the car it replaces and pumps out 789bhp.
Driven through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, the Superfast can hit 60mph in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 211mph.

The 812 Superfast is also the first Ferrari to come fitted with electric power steering. This is mated with the car’s onboard dynamics controls to create a truly special driving experience. The car also receives Ferrari’s Virtual Short Wheelbase system, which combines front-wheel steering assistance and rear-wheel steering.
In addition, Ferrari’s Side Slip Control is fitted to the 812 Superfast, giving better levels of agility at any speed.

The exterior of the Superfast has also been heavily worked upon. A pair of diffusers sitting just ahead of the front wheels help draw air underneath the car, increasing downforce. A spoiler at the rear of the car also helps achieve better traction, with its trailing edge sitting 30mm higher than that found on the F12.
Prices for the new 812 Superfast are expected to be slightly higher than those of the F12, which started at just over £240,000.
