Aston Martin creates its most powerful front-engined supercar with new Valen

V12-powered model has been created by the brand’s Q department.
Aston Martin has unleashed its most powerful front-engined production car with a new model – Valen.
Powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine used in cars like the Vanquish, the Valen can go from 0-60mph in three seconds and onwards to a top speed of 214mph thanks to power outputs of 838bhp and 1,000Nm of torque.
Limited to just 150 examples worldwide, the Valen is the latest project from Aston Martin’s ‘Q’ department, which has previously created bespoke models such as the Valour and Valiant.

The Valen uses all manner of lightweight materials such as carbon fibre, titanium and magnesium to achieve a weight save of 110kg over equivalent production V12 models. Buyers can also add an optional lightweight pack which adds machined aluminium suspension arms and titanium chassis bolts to shave an additional 16.9kg off the car’s weight. A new lightweight titanium exhaust system with four tailpipes ensures a suitably impressive sound, too.
The Valen rides on magnesium wheels as standard, covered in sticky Pirelli P Zero R tyres, while winter versions are there for drivers who want to use their cars in colder temperatures.

Inside, there’s an ultra-slim centre console which uses 3D printing technologies to achieve its specific shape. Angled towards the driver, the console aims to provide a better sense of connection between human and machine. There’s also the choice of more comfortable Sports Plus seats, or lightweight carbon fibre-backed chairs for a more dynamic experience.
First deliveries of the Valen are expected to commence in the second quarter of next year.
