Tyson Fury was so impressed with what he saw at the tourist attraction near Oswestry he returned two days after his initial visit for a quieter look around.

The heavyweight boxer surprised visitors and staff alike when he drove into the centre in his Rolls Royce during the third annual Oswestry Transport Rally on Saturday.

Chairman, Clive Knowles, said: "His arrival was met with amazement and soon we had crowds trying to follow him everywhere.

"We had to get out staff to ask visitors to leave Mr Fury in peace as he was being mobbed by people trying to take his photo.

"He was so impressed by what he saw he returned on Monday when it was much quieter. We were able to give him a degree of privacy for him to enjoy lunch."

"He did seem 'knocked-out by what we have here."

Mr Knowles said he had not realised just out big the 28-year-old boxer was.

"He towered above me and his hands were huge," he said.

There were more than 300 entrants to the Transport Rally which was held to raise money for the Hope House Children's hospice.
