Personalised workwear supplier MyWorkwear has partnered with Stay Telford and KIP ahead of the annual fundraising event, which returns to Madeley Cricket Club on Friday, October 9.

The Sleep Out challenges participants to spend a night outdoors in solidarity with people experiencing homelessness while raising money to support the work of Stay Telford and KIP, which provide accommodation, advice and practical support for vulnerable people across the borough.

As part of the sponsorship, MyWorkwear will enter a team into the event, provide goodie bags for participants and produce official merchandise to help raise additional funds.

The partnership also forms part of the company's 50th anniversary celebrations. Founded in 1976, MyWorkwear said it wanted to mark the milestone by supporting a cause with a direct impact on the local community.

James Worthington, co-owner of MyWorkwear, said: "We're incredibly proud to sponsor this year's Telford Sleep Out.

"As a business with strong local roots, supporting our community has always been at the heart of what we do, and homelessness is an issue that can't be ignored.

"Working with Stay Telford and KIP on such an important initiative feels like a fitting way to mark our 50th anniversary by helping raise both awareness and vital support for people experiencing homelessness locally."

Sam Haydon, fundraising manager at Stay Telford, welcomed the support.

She said: "We're delighted to announce MyWorkwear as the main sponsor of this year's Telford Sleep Out.

"Both Stay and KIP are very grateful to James and the team for supporting this year's event. It's fantastic to be working with MyWorkwear during its 50th anniversary celebrations and together we have some exciting plans for this year's Sleep Out.

"Their support will help us raise awareness of homelessness and generate vital funds so we can continue supporting local people who need our help."
