Outstanding result for Morris Property team for work on Centurion Park in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury firm wins recognition for its work on business park development

Morris Property has been awarded an ‘outstanding’ rating by the Considerate Constructors Scheme for its work on Centurion Park in Shrewsbury.

The project on Unit 48 secured a score of 97 per cent during its first CCS assessment visit, exceeding the 95 per cent threshold required to achieve the scheme's highest performance band.

The independent monitor assessed the site in Harlescott against the three elements of the Code of Considerate Practice - respect the community, care for the environment and value the workforce. Recognition was given to the measures taken to minimise disruption and protect neighbouring homes and businesses during construction.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national initiative designed to raise standards across the construction industry.

Unit 48 forms part of the ongoing regeneration of Centurion Park where Morris Property has invested more than £3.5 million since 2019 to enhance and expand the established business destination.

Site manager Conor Roberts said: “We are extremely proud to have achieved an ‘outstanding’ score.

“It’s a team effort. Everyone on site, from our contractors to our suppliers, has taken pride in keeping the site tidy, safe and respectful of our neighbours.”

Contracts manager Mark Bennett added: “Scoring at this level shows what can be achieved when considerate practice is built into the way we plan and run every project, not treated as an add-on.”
