Kenny Jackett will move on Wolves duo
Striker Bjorn Sigurdarson and defender Georg Margreitter are both surplus to requirements at Wolves, it has been revealed.
The pair cost £3m between them when they joined the club in 2012.
But both have struggled to force their way into head coach Kenny Jackett's plans and spent time out on loan last season.
And as they are out of contract next summer it is unlikely Wolves will recoup anywhere near the £2.4m spent on Sigurdarson and £500,000 on Margreitter.
They were signed by Stale Solbakken as part of a £10m spending spree as the Norwegian looked to make his mark at Molineux.
Bakary Sako and Tongo Doumbia were also signed at great expense and have since left, with Sako's contract expiring this summer and Doumbia sold to Toulouse for an undisclosed fee.
Razak Boukari's £2.4m fee made up the rest of the £10m but he is likely to leave on the cheap after not yet regaining full fitness.
Jackett said of Sigurdarson and Margreitter: "They're not part of my plans. Bjorn had a back operation three weeks ago and he now starts a period of six weeks' rehab. Georg is fully fit, has trained well and hard.
"Centre-back is a position that we're strong in and we have good young centre-backs as well, so it's unlikely that he's going to get in, but he's trained well.
"Georg is ready for his next club and his next challenge and that's what he's looking for."
Sigurdarson will look to line up a new club when he is back to full fitness.
He featured prominently in 2012/13 but last played in gold and black in December 2013. The Icelandic international has since been loaned to Molde twice and was reunited with Solbakken at Copenhagen.
Austrian Margreitter featured three times in 2012/13, was loaned to Copenhagen a year later and then spent time at Chesterfield.
